GREG SANDLER

Greg Sandler has become a cornerstone in the San Francisco dance culture. In 1992, Greg was introduced to the culture and by mid 1993 was already deeply involved. Between producing events (Harmony Productions) and performing all over the Bay Area, Greg has become one of the biggest and most respected names in San Francisco's local industry. He has had much success as a promoter, and now owns and operates one of the Bay Area's finest record stores, Harmonics.
Greg first picked up the decks in 1993, since then he has released four hugely successful tapes ranging in style from Progressive Disco House to Progressive Trance and Techno. As a young dj he was strongly influenced by well-known djs/performers like Richie Hawtin (Plus 8), Darren Emerson, (Underworld), Doran (Rampant), and Jeno (Wicked). These dj's all had major influences on Greg's mixing skills and abilities. Five years of dj'ing as well as performing for many different types of crowds have led Greg to perfect his own style of mixing. Greg grips the crowd with powerful tracks and leads through a journey of all styles of music. His seamless mixing and tight programming shows in his spectacular performances, no matter the size of the party.
Greg is best known for his hard, pumping, slamming tech-house and a combination of tribal techno and progressive house. On rare occasions he also performs powerful, crowd-pleasing trance sets, known to turn the dance floor into frenzy. "As with any performance, you must adapt to the specific event and its crowd." This is Greg's strong point. After all, owning a record store gives him the selection to provide slamming sets of all genres.
Specifically, within the last two years Greg has risen to become one of San Francisco's most sought after dj's. He has performed at Freedom '98 (Gathering), Area 51 '98 & '97, Bass Invaders, Friends & Family, ASR, Spiral, Rotation, Sparkle, Tranceforce, Tickle, Trance Factory, Frequency -8, Skills, Viberation, Megabuzz Mania, The Spirit of Giving, Love Affair, Bastet, Gateway, Chrysalis, Hunny, A Wrinkle in Time, Ear Candy, @spire, Spundae, Quest, Breakdown '98, Planet Rock, Harmony, and more...
He has co-headlined with performers such as Union Jack, Adam Beyer, Cari Leckenbusch, Joel Mull, Christian Smith, DRC, Doran, Jeno, Tony, Liquid, Terry Mullan, DJ Dan, Tim Taylor, Christopher Lawrence, Chris Liberator, The Moontribe Family Dj's, Joey Beltram, Stacey Pullen, Donald Glaude, Doc Martin, Jon Williams Uber Zone, and others.
For a little over six years now, Greg has headed Harmony Productions, known for their high quality productions, great vibes, and devoted following. This atmosphere has provided Greg with the forum to shine as a dj with the greatest talent from across the world. Greg has been written up numerous times in magazines across the globe, most noticeably the "Know Your Promoter" section of the June/July '98 issue of Lotus Magazine and in Urb Mag issue 62. The UK's Wax Magazine did a two page spread on Greg and Harmony saying Greg was the "Local Hero, the tunes were up to date and cutting edge." Harmony is Greg's main passion, followed by his love for the music and the production aspect of the events.
