Keoki has always been at the center of rumor and speculation. But here's the deal. Its been almost two years since his last mix album (Inevitable Alien Nation) and almost three since his self produced debut "Ego Trip". Meanwhile, he's continued to be at the top of his game constantly playing and headlining sell out events all over America. Always subject to rumor, the latest being he's no longer of this world, he's back to set things straight.
Since last fall's Moonshine Overamerica 99 Tour he's been holed up in the hills of Malibu, California staying out of trouble working on a new artist album. This as yet unnamed project is being crafted with previous collaborator, Dave Aude along with able guidance and mentoring from the legendary Daniel Ash of Love and Rockets, who's lending his trademark guitar and vocal talents. This album is tentatively scheduled for release in the last quarter of 2000.
In the meantime, Keoki has stepped to the decks to put together his fourth DJ mixed album for Moonshine--djmixed.com/keoki. His mix recalls his most popular mixed album "Disco Death Race 2000" with an eclectic set that moves around in typical Keoki fashion. He picks tracks that you never knew but will want to keep listening to. It goes from chunky house to epic trance with breaks in between. Its a journey.
